DECT - Lone Worker Systems

Overview

The ANT DECT solution combines the functionality of multiple systems into one platform, allowing users the ability to talk, receive up to date site and lone worker alarm information anywhere on site, all on one mobile phone.

Lone worker applications using DECT technology provides an effective means of protecting staff that work alone. Our solution is flexible, reliable and totally dependable. Furthermore, we have a wealth of experience designing and implementing solutions for a broad range of customers’ requirements.

Staff Protection

Depending upon which handsets are chosen alarms can be triggered by way of a panic button and/or automatically by tilt, no-motion and time check in case the user is rendered unconscious.

However, triggering an alarm message to alert staff to an incident is only part of the solution; ensuring staff always receive alarm messages is fundamental to locating the injured person quickly. What’s the point in sending emergency information to an unmanned, central PC or to a DECT handset that is switched off?

With our solution, recipients of alarm information must confirm receipt otherwise, alarms are escalated to other groups until confirmation is received. Within the alarm message the name, extension and the location area of the lone worker is reported. To find unconscious lone workers quickly co-ordinated searches can take place with participants talking to each other using their DECT handset.

All alarm information is stored and can be reviewed as and when for audit trail purposes.

Typical types of users:

Staff patrolling extended plants or facilities
Workers in areas with a risk of explosion
Guards in the penal system
Care staff in psychiatric medicine
Workers in areas of high risk of break in or attack
