Avaya IP Wireless Telephone solutions integrate with Avaya IP Telephony solutions over 802.11 networks and can scale to support very large numbers of mobile users. Industry-standard 802.11 network compatibility provides end-users with the efficiency of converged voice and data on a single wireless infrastructure. They also gain access to powerful IP Telephony features while on the move. This enables them to make and receive calls while mobile, put calls on hold, search and dial from corporate directories, transfer calls or conference in other associates.

Avaya offers several options to meet the needs of small to large enterprises working across many different industries.

Avaya offers the 3641 and 3645 IP Wireless Telephones for customers using Communication Manager 2.2 (and higher) and IP Office R4.1 (and higher). While the 3631 IP Wireless Telephones works with Communication Manager 3.0 and higher. The 3641 and 3645 are some of the only wireless telephones to support 802.11a Wireless LANs. 802.11a is desirable when high-densities of wireless voice users must be supported. These phones also support 802.11b/g, are durable and liquid/dust resistant, have large displays with an easy to user interface, and offer several battery options for extended talk time. The 3641 and 3645 use the same Avaya Voice Priority Processor and Open Application Interface server as the 3616/3620/3626 and have common accessories (chargers, lanyards, belt clips).

 

The Avaya 3631 IP Wireless Telephone is a low-cost, 802.11b/g wireless telephone that works with industry-standard, enterprise-grade wireless LANs. It has a colour display and an advanced, context-sensitive one-X user interface. It appeals to the broader office environment and more casual wireless voice user.
