ANT Telecom are proud to announce another premier product to their 2005 portfolio with the launch of the new High Speed Wireless products from Artem.

The Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) products extend ANT Telecom’s mobility product range, which already includes DECT and paging telephony technology. ANT Telecom plan to promote the new product portfolio simultaneously with there existing customer base and industrial market sectors.

The addition of an integrated WLAN solution will give organisations the opportunity to implement a high speed, secure network, which has not been possible before due to high cabling costs and low bandwidth capabilities of alternative wireless solutions.

A major benefit of the solution is that coverage over large areas is possible even in an area where there is little cabling. In this situation only the wired antenna’s need to connect to the LAN and additional wireless antenna’s can be implemented to boost the radio signal of their wired counterparts. Furthermore, several buildings can be networked with the use of a “link bridge” as an alternative to ongoing costs of leased lines or the high expense of running cable between premises.

To ensure easy and seamless integration to customers’ wireless devices the product range includes Wireless Ethernet sockets. Simply, this allows appliances without PCMCIA slots (e.g. IP Phones) to connect to the wireless network.

Included within the range are base stations/antennas designed to work in industrial environments and are approved to an IP65 rating. The units are also EN European certified for use within hospitals due to the low output of 100mW.

To date the solution has proved very successful in several industry sectors including hospitals and warehouse environments. Here the ability to up date computer records immediately whilst “on the move” has considerably sped up the organisations’ processes, reduced paperwork and cut administration costs.
